Humility in relationships

Today I read Philippians 2:5-11 NIV

5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in very nature God,
   did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
7 rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
   being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man,
   he humbled himself
   by becoming obedient to death—
      even death on a cross!
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

Jesus was the Son of God and therefore God.  He had all power and all authority at his disposal and yet he submitted to His Father's will.  He waited for the Father to exalt Him.

As I'm reading, these verses I think of us as Christians.  The husband is to practice humility for his wife because that what Christ did for the church.  Ephesians 5:25-30 NIV

Ephesians 6:9 says that masters are to treat their slaves in a manner aware of their true master being God. Though society may have allowed slaves to be abused, God did not.  We don't have slave, but some of us will be bosses.  The company may tolerate rudeness and yelling when you deal with those under you.  God does not.  Therefore as a boss you must be humble and give up what the world says in OK.

Here is some scripture that you can look up and study.  Or just click the links I have provided.

If you are saved let the Holy Spirit teach you.  If you do not know the Lord I pray he will use his Word to convict you.
