Galatians 3:23-29

Galatians 3:23-29
²³ Before the coming of this faith, we were held in custody under the law, locked up until the faith that was to come would be revealed. ²⁴ So the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith. ²⁵ Now that this faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian.

The law has served it's purpose.  We are no longer under it's authority.

²⁶ So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, ²⁷ for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. ²⁸ There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. ²⁹ If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

There is no place for the race war or the gender war in the body of Christ.  If you have faith in Christ you ONE with your brothers and sisters. 

Years ago, my sister moved to Utah.  The Christians their worshiped a bit differently than New Englanders.  Cheryl tried very hard to separate her church tradition form what was actually Biblical.  Recognizing the she was one in Christ with them she was able to join them in worship.

This goes right along with what I am dealing with right now.  I have a friend who attends a church with a different name on the door.  I have no doubt this person is saved.  I have no doubt we both have Christ as the center of our lives.  Even though we have different backgrounds and our church traditions may be different, we are still one.  We are still both heirs to the promise given to Abraham.
